Chino Hills, CA–The Inland Empire Running Club (IERC) kicks off its LA Marathon Training Program Saturday, August 15, 2015, 8 a.m., at 6350 Mystic Canyon Drive in Chino Hills.
This is the eighth year the club has offered a 26-week training program for the 26.2-mile LA Marathon, which is scheduled for February 14, 2016 and will run from Dodger Stadium to Santa Monica. “IERC is a club that caters to athletes of all skill levels, and our program is especially good for new runners, walkers, and run/walkers who want to complete their first marathon,” said Karen Ray, IERC Director.
The fee for the 26-week training program is $60 if you sign up by August 31, 2015, and $85 beginning September 1, and includes:
Training targeting brand new to advanced athletes.
Club membership through July 2016
Multiple pace groups led by veteran athletes for runners, run/walkers, and walkers–you are assured to find a pace group to meet your training needs.
26 Week Training Schedule so you know what to do each day of the week
Clinics by experts on topics including nutrition, hydration, running apparel, injury prevention, among others
Weekly club trainings using an established training course on the streets and paths of Chino Hills.
IERC technical training shirt, gear bag, emergency ID shoe tag, and Hydrapouch reusable water pouch for new members
Water/Sports drink provided at water stations throughout the training course including post training snacks and refreshments.
